Description:
The "QU4RTETS" project grew out of a dinner-party conversation in Manhattan in 2009, when several friends discovered that they all were inspired by a common text: T.S. Eliot's "Four Quartets," a poem acknowledged as one of the masterpieces of the 20th century. Bruce Herman and Makoto Fujimura created new, collaborative works to accompany previous works inspired by "Four Quartets," and teamed up with Yale composer Christopher Theofanidis, who has written a four-part musical score for the touring exhibit.
