On June 21, 1967, at the age of 17, Lucy Winer was committed to Kings Park State Hospital following a series of failed suicide attempts. Now a veteran filmmaker, Lucy has returned to Kings Park for the first time in over thirty years to document her experiences. She has also sought out the intimate stories of other former patients, families, and staff. Kings Park broke audience attendance records at the Stony Brook Film Festival, and has received glowing reviews around the nation. The screening will be followed by a discussion led by co-producer and director Lucy Winer and other members of the production team.
