LAURENCE D. HABER, M.D.Recipient, "2013 Outstanding Advocate for Science & Technology Award"The Science Museum of Long Island recently named Laurence D. Haber, M.D. as a recipient of a 2013 OUTSTANDING ADVOCATE FOR SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY AWARD.  Dr. Haber will be honored on Wednesday, February 6th at the Westbury Manor for his outstanding contributions toward the advancement and education of science and technology.Please help support Dr. Haber in his goal to raise a minimum of $1,000 for this important fundraiser.Proceeds support the Science Museum of Long Island's programs and services for the children and families of the region! Below is a brief summary of Dr. Haber's impressive accomplishments.Dr. Haber is a Board Certified Neurologist with over 20 years experience in private practice in Great Neck.  He is also an active attending physician at NorthShore, LIJ, and St. Francis Hospitals.   After completing his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital i nManhattan and fellowships in both Epilepsy and Neuro-Behavior at Beth Israel Hospital, New York, Dr. Haber and his wife, Hilary moved to Nassau County.Dr. Haber has been a supporter of the Science Museum of Long Island since his daughter Rose began classes at the Museum 17 years ago  His two sons, James and Xander also attended the Science Museum are now teenagers and volunteers at the Museum. In his free time, Dr. Haber enjoys Astronomy, Biology, Architecture and especially traveling with his family.The inaugural ADVOCATES FOR SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY AWARDS takes place on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, 6pm to 8pm, at Westbury Manor.  To register or for more information, call Tracey Gittere at (516) 222-0550 or TGittere@LegendaryEvents.net       Visit EventBrite.com for pricing.
