Laura Cottingham, artist, critic, writer and curator, discusses the rich lode of scenes of New York in the collection of the New Britain Museum of American Art, among them an impressionist's view of Union Square, a home scene on Manhattan's 57th Street, an en plein air depiction of a creek near Kingston, and a Long Island domestic scene. Cottingham has taught art criticism at Cooper Union, The School of Visual Arts and Columbia University. $15
