FAQs What is Project SEARCH Collaborates for Autism? Our High School Transition Program is a one-year internship program for students with ASD whose goal is to gain skills to secure competitive employment in their local community after graduation. It is targeted for students in their last year of high school. The program takes place at NewYork-Presbyterian in White Plains, NY. Our interns are totally immersed in the workplace in order to facilitate the teaching and learning process and so that they may acquire valuable employability skills and marketable job skills. Interns participate in three internship rotations to explore a variety of career paths. The interns are part of a team that includes their family, a special education teacher from SWBOCES, and a job coach from ARC of Westchester who work together to set employment goals and to support the intern during this important transition from school to work Where can I contact the organizer with any questions? For more information, call: Jerry Philip, Program Development, New York Collaborates for Autism at 914.361.9129or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
