Great American Sand Sculpture Competition

The Annual Great American Sand Sculpture Competition will take place on Saturday, July 12th at Walnut Beach in Milford from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Bring a picnic, your beach blanket, pails and shovels, and create anything from huge lobsters to mermaids. Enter as friends, families, clubs or as individuals. Prizes are awarded. Operation First Response Poker Run

The Operation First Poker Run is Sunday, July 13th from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Hall of Fame Billiards, 105 West Road (Route 83) in Ellington. This is a Motorcycle Poker Run through north central Connecticut to support our troops. Proceeds go to support our wounded heroes and their families through Operation First Response. Tickets are $20.
