Tickets are also available at Cheshire Wine & Spirits, 581 Highland Ave., Cheshire. Walk ins are welcome.

“One of the challenges for any community organization is awareness,” said Julie Rodriguez, Abilities Without Boundaries executive director. “Even though we are one of Cheshire’s largest charities, we still work to be better known in Cheshire and the dozen surrounding towns we serve. When Copper Valley tennis club approached us about a wine and beer tasting we thought it would be a fun way to raise awareness and generate some charitable donations too.” AWB supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

At the event AWB, CVC and the Cheshire Half-Marathon will have tables showing how their organizations support Cheshire and surrounding communities. AWB helps people achieve independence, self-sufficiency, community participation and personal satisfaction through employment and day support services. CVC, founded in 1953, is a member run tennis club on 25 wooded and park like acres with 5 clay, 3 Har-Tru and 1 hard tennis courts.  The Cheshire Half-Marathon is Cheshire’s largest road race event raising funds for AWB, Best Buddies and Cheshire Lions Club.
